Liposuction is the removal of fat accumulated in certain parts of the body from the body by pulling or suction with the help of a vacuum or an injector. Liposuction is recommended to be performed by plastic or aesthetic surgeons. The point to be noted about liposuction is that this treatment method is not a weight loss surgery, it is only a body correction operation/surgery. With liposuction, the body is purified from the existing fat cells by increasing the volume of the mole due to body fat and supporting weight loss with diet and sports. Liposuction operation is performed on certain areas. These regions;
Under the chin
Cheeks
Neck
Breasts
Upper arm or inner arm and sides
Tummy
Hip
Waist
Knee
Back of the leg
Liposuction is used as a supportive procedure for other correction/contour surgeries as well as removing the fat and fat cells in these areas with the help of vacuum.

In which situations liposuction does not work?
After the fat is removed with the liposuction method, weight can be regained. The definitive solution for losing weight is not liposuction. After the fat is removed with the liposuction method, eating healthy, paying attention to the situation of gaining and losing weight and doing regular exercise are effective on weight gain. If patients organize their daily lives according to healthy nutrition and regular exercise after liposuction treatment, weight loss can only be stabilized. Unless these are paid attention to, liposuction treatment is not very functional.
If there is sagging of the skin,
If there is a regional lubrication situation,
If there are wraps around the abdomen after birth, liposuction application will not work. Other treatment methods with liposuction should also be tried.
How long is the recovery period after liposuction?
Corsets produced for liposuction treatment are recommended for patients to after liposuction treatment. After liposuction fat removal treatment, corsets should be used between 4 weeks and 8 weeks. The duration of use of corsets varies from patient to patient. Bruising, swelling and edema are considered normal after liposuction treatment. Bruising, swelling and edema heal over time. Stitches are removed 7 days after the liposuction treatment and if there is no negative situation in the general health examinations of the patient, it is possible to return to social life and work life after 21 days. Exercise can be done 1 month after the treatment.
